The blends archive
ブレンドの記録
This is a historical archive, not a shop. These blends were made by the original Yeti Fazenda COFFEE roastery, which no longer operates at this address. Nothing here is for sale.
The old shop's line-up was simple: five house blends, each roasted on a vintage drum and also packed into drip bags as a five-blend tasting set. The original recipes were never published, so the notes below are our own suggestions only, with tips for finding something similar from a roaster near you.
Yeti Blend
The namesake house blend. The shop’s own description of its coffee was “analog”: an easy, everyday cup.
Snow Blend
One of the five house blends. Its exact recipe was never published; we suggest exploring a soft medium roast as a comparable style.
Hana (花) Blend
Hana means “flower” in Japanese. Recipe unpublished; aromatic medium roasts are a good place to start.
Classic Blend
By its name, a nod to traditional coffee-house style; try a medium-dark kissaten-style blend for something similar.
Decaf Blend
A caffeine-free blend for evenings.
Finding a similar coffee
- For Yeti or Classic styles, ask a local roaster for a medium-dark house blend roasted on a drum machine. See drum roasters explained.
- For Snow or Hana styles, look for a medium roast with sweet, floral or nutty notes.
- For decaf, read decaf done right.
- To compare several styles cheaply, try drip bags: how to brew them.
